Nonstress Test?

Question

Starting next appointment, dr wants me to come in every week for a NST due to high blood pressure ONLY at dr's office (BP is great at home.) 
Can you tell me more about NSTs? Please share any personal experiences/ advice. I know it's noninvasive but I can't help but worry...

I did this about 4 weeks ago. The doctor wants to make sure your baby's placenta us giving enough nutrients and oxygen. If s/he is moving a enough in a time frame. Oh and growing properly with limbs and organs. 
My little one is small but I am a petite woman so they wanted to make sure she's fine. She on the 12% tile and if he baby is close to 10% they start to worry. So like everyone says you with with a contraction monitor and like a heart monitor to make sure things are going as they should. I have to sit for about 20 minutes with the straps. But my daughter has fluid around her heart, so I have to go all the way up to my due date. I'm 30 wks and 1 d

All they do is wrap two peices of cloth around your belly put the monitors that listen to babys heart and measures contractions. You lay there for like an hr so they can monitor. I had my first one yesterday

All it is is the belly monitor they put on you through labor. They are super non invasive. You sit there with thay in listen to the heart beat and when the baby moves or kicks your press a button like you would in a hearing test. Your normally in a recliner or a comfy chair.. you will probably fall asleep after you get use to it. Also if they think baby needs to wake up there's a buzzer thing they can do...

This is all you do. You have two straps with monitors attached to it. One measures heart rate and the other measures contractions.

Whenever I've had one, they put a band around your belly and give you a button to push. They monitor baby's heartbeat and you push the button every time you feel the baby move/kick. Good luck! I'm sure it'll be fine!!
