What is your normal BBT?

I just started taking my temp first thing in the mornings this week and my temps have been in the 96.8 range. That seems low but it's been consistent. Could it be low because I sleep with my mouth open?!  Should I wait a few minutes after waking before taking it?

My normal temp is in the 96s! If it's been consistent, I'd say you're doing okay and just keep doing it like you were!

I always seem to be in the 96ish range up until ovulation then after I jump up to 97-98.

Mine was also low (96ish) when I was checking it while ttc. That's probably just your normal. If it's consistent just use that as your baseline when tracking ovulation, etc.

I don't know/doubt if opening your mouth makes a difference because you're measuring your core temperature, but less/restless sleep and other factors can give you a random outlier reading. It sounds like you're just naturally that temp though. No worries! Just keep checking when you wake up and before you get up or do anything else. :)
