Insurance Question
Okay, ladies.
I'm seven weeks and just scheduled my first Obgyn visit for my 8th week.
I just talked to my Obgyn clinic, and they are quoting a total price of labor and delivery (doctors fees only) as $2645. This does NOT include the hospital fees and labs fees. Since that doesn't meet my deductible, we are responsible for all that.
I have "good" health insurance, paying $550/month for a Blue Shield plan through my employer (a physical therapy clinic).
We are being set up on a payment plan- $1200 deposit and 7 monthly payments of $206/month.
This seems very high for "good" insurance.
I'm just curious... What does everyone else's insurance benefits and out of pocket costs look like?
