Hematoma?

Question

I got a call today after having my first ultra sound, they said they found a small sub chronic hematoma. They said it was nothing that endangered  the baby but they wanted to keep an eye on it. They also said of i had any bleeding or pelvic  pain to call asap. I'm so scared now... I'm nervous... any other mama's that have had the is with some encouraging words!!

I had pretty severe bleeding after intercourse around 8 weeks, before I had even seen an OBGYN. So I went to the ER. They did an exam and ultrasound and blood work. I had a subchorionic bleed also. The ER doctor told me to take it easy, and pelvic rest. I did that until my OB appointment and then they said take it easy and pelvic rest until my next appointment. Had an ultrasound at 10 weeks, bleed was still there but baby looked perfect. Had another ultrasound at 14 weeks and it was smaller. By 18 weeks it was gone completely and my baby is perfectly fine cooking in there now at 31weeks and 5 days.

Hi honey! I was just diagnosed with it because I started heavily bleeding for a couple hours and I thought I lost the baby! But they said the baby is okay and just have to be on pelvic rest. I called my ob and she told me I needed to take it easy. The bleeding stopped now I just have brown discharge when I wipe. In my research, I heard most of hematomas heal themselves and most women go on having a healthy pregnancy. So don't stress yet. At least you're not bleeding! If you can do me a favor and pray for me as well! I'd really appreciate it.

I had one diagnosed at 7 weeks , and by my 12 week ultrasound it was absorbed .(: good luck!

I also had one they told me i could possibly miscarry had really bad bleeding at 13 weeks lost some fluid and everything. Im now 36 weeks and 4 days pregnant. Just have faith hun everything will be okay. Good luck 😍

I was diagnosed with this at 10 weeks and it was severe. I was pregnant with twins and I lost one and they were convinced I would lose the other one.i had heavy bleeding for 2 months and was hospitalized several times for it. Every time we thought I would lose him. I was put on bed and pelvic rest and told to avoid certain foods and also that I would go to preterm labor. I am now 28 weeks baby is growing on the small side, but still healthy. I still have the hematoma and am still at risk for preterm labor, but my baby is strong and he is making it through this. The best you can do is to rest. You and your baby are strong enough to get through this! I wish you and your baby all the best!

I had the same issue. I was 6 weeks when I started to bleed. It was on a Sunday so I called my doctor and she called back and told me to come in Friday- longest week ever! I went for a vaginal ultra sound and said I had a sub chorionic hemmorage. We saw the baby which was the size of a poppy seed and the heart beat was 70. The dr was concerned about that. I went in for anothe ultrasound the following Friday and the baby had grown to the size of a chocolate chip! And has a heartbeat of 122! I'm still spotting a tad but things are looking good. My next ultrasound is next Friday Jan 29th :)

I am 18w4d. I have had a total of 3 hematomas. 1 at 6 weeks and resolved then 2 at 12 weeks following an auto accident. I began bleeding A LOT at 16w6d. Went to ER and it was from one of the hematomas. Was put on bedrest and they aren't getting any smaller :( baby is totally fine and growing right on track and not affected. Just frustrating to have these bleeds and pelvic rest and bed rest :(

They found one af 13 weeks when I went to the er for bleeding. I was out on weight restrictions and pelvic rest. By my scan at 15 weeks it was gone I bled on and off for those two weeks but usually just after working a 12 hour shift or being active and lots of movement.
