Age of consent in IL is 17 & I had sexual intercourse with my bf of almost 2 years who's 20, can he still go to jail?

Any comments or further explanation please write below. I'm going through a tough situation. I don't want to see my bf suffer. My mom hates him for a stupid reason and all she wants is to see him suffer in jail. Please help.
