Mirena and irregular periods

I've had the mirena for about 2 years, at first periods were normal then they basically dissappeared. I got them every 3-4 months. They've started coming back more frequently though, or at least that's what I think. I've been having pms symptoms but no blood for like a week or 2. Any ideas on what's happening?
