Family or BF 1st?

So my BF and I been arguing lately because he says I seem to push him back when I really don't. So my sister had her baby recently and asked me if I can take her to the doctors in the morning. I usually take my BF to work at 10 and her apt is at 9:15. Well to cut it short he gets mad when I chose my family over him cause he says he should my 1st priority. In my case I don't think so my family will always be 1st and I wrong for this? Th one time I ask him if a family member can take him to work cause I need to go with her due to her not being able to drive she had a c- section. Would you do the same chose your family over your man?

No your not he's being unreasonable. Your sister needs you he's a grown man and can get himself to work whilst your sister needs help after major surgery x

I think he was upset because you've given him your word that you would take him to work at 10. I thinks it's sweet that you want to take her to the doctor, but as the other women are saying that he can take a bus or whatever, so could she. Especially since you already routinely take your man to work and then she springs in and you "cancel" on him. I think in this situation, boyfriend should have stayed first SOLELY because of your prior commitment. I will always put my family first unless I made an agreement with my boyfriend and I gave him my word. Then I will stick to that.

Until your man IS your family, it's not wrong to choose your family over him! If you were married it would be a little different and I think there would need to be a healthy balance, but since that's not the case, you're not being unreasonable at all!

Nope. It isn't like you blew him off to go get your nails done or something. You usually take him to work, this suddenly came up. If it's that big of a deal tell him to get a car of his own so he isn't reliant on you.

If your on good terms with your family then help them too.  No one needs to be over the other tell him your love your family and you want to help them and him setting restrictions on that makes you feel isolated
