Help something in the eye

My baby (almost 4 weeks old) got something stuck to the upper waterline of her eye. It doesn't seem to bother her, but I'm worried about getting an infection from it. I tried rinsing it with water, but it didn't help. It looks like a little piece of glitter from her shirt. How do I get it out? I'm freaking out :( I know it's not in the right group, but I have no idea where to post it :(
