How long should a pregnancy belly ring be?

I bought a pregnancy belly ring so I could keep my piercing, and I was kindof shocked at how LONG the plastic bar is. It says you can cut it down to size, but how much of it are they really expecting you to use?  My belly button is slowly turning from an innie to...well, flatish.  So I'm guessing I should replace it soon, but I don't want to cut it too short.

I ended up taking mine out when I was pregnant with my son. The plastic one was so uncomfortable. Hopefully it won't be so bad for you.

The thing is THIS LONG! All of my regular jewelry has a bar barely longer than my fingernails, definitely no longer than the last joint of any finger. Does that little bit of skin really stretch....THAT much? Now I'm freakin terrified, it'll never go back to normal, for sure!

To be honest I had mine out from 12 weeks and put it straight back in after birth didn't stretch out and not issues when out .. It was hurting to have in when 12 weeks so just took it out and kept putting it through once a weeks to make sure still open :)

I have one and cut mine only like a VERY little bit. Once you wear it, it flattens out to your belly more and won't stick out like you think it would.
