Does a woman's weight affect her fertility?

Just wondering if you feel like weight causes problems with conceiving? I'm 5'e and weigh 170. which I know myself isn't healthy and this is the largest I've ever been.. Lately I have just felt like maybe my weight is the issue.

A persons weight (being over or under) can affect total body health and put a person at higher risk for pregnancy/birth complications. I was not overweight... I am 5'8 and weighed 145 but with my pcos my dr thought losing 10-15 pounds may help boost ovulation and since losing the weight I have successfully ovulated whereas before losing it I couldn't ovulate even when taking clomid.

On the other end of the spectrum 
I knew a few girls who were VERY thin when they carried and had less than healthy babies. Three were  premature.

My SIL swears up and down she had problems with infertility and had "over 10 miscarriages", but she looks like some one from the show "My 600lb Life" and I have a really hard time believing she's telling the truth. She eventually gave birth to a less than healthy baby girl that has since had to undergo surgeries.

My husband and I have been off birth control for five months now and I'm also starting to blame my weight. However, I hear that you have to "give yourselves a year" before you begin to worry. Harder than it sounds. I'm frustrated! :) I'm 5'6 250lbs

If your weight is affecting your cycle than yes it can be an issue, sometimes being severely overweight can stop ovulation
