Should i visit my past and make it my future?

Friend requested an old boyfriend on facebook now we talk often.He keeps wanting to spend time with me. I keep avoiding him. Should i take him up on his offer or let the past stay in the past? Also we never broke up we just started going to different schools. And he looks just as good as he did then.
