Telling my parents?

Question

I'm 5 weeks pregnant and absolutely pertrified about telling my mum! I've been with my partner for 5 years, we are engaged and live together. We both drive, work and I'm just finishing off my degree so why am I so scared to tell her?
Any advice??

I have the strictest, meanest parents in the world and when I found out I was pregnant I was unemployed, living with my bf and his parents, and both my parents hated my bf. I was terrified. But my mom took it really well! And my dad is handling it lol don't be scared! It's your body, your baby, don't let their reactions bother you a bit!

I got pregnant not once, but twice while I was in relationships but not married.  I was living with my parentS barely getting by, and my first baby was only 15 months old when I found out I was pregnant with the second.  My parents were NOT happy to say the least, but you know what, they got over it.  My husband and I got married immediately upon finding out we were expecting and I graduated with my masters degree and we are now trying for another.  My best advice is do something special for them, make a cute gift so that they have no choice to be excited because they see how excited you are about it.  Don't let your expectations of how others may feel about it or how they will view you take away from this joyous time.  I worried about it twice (esp the second time) and I just wish I had spent that energy being excited and not concerned about what others would say.  This is a special time, enjoy it to the fullest as you will never get to experience it again with your first born.  Congratulations and best of luck!!  😊

I was 21 when I first got pregnant my mom was shocked n said I was young n my dad said he was too young to b a grandpa. They both got over thier shock n were very happy. They love thier grandkids
