How can I prevent this from happening?

Ok I had my period for a while now and i usually wear pads. But my reoccuring issue is how does the blood seep up my butt? And how can i prevent this? I have not worn a tampon yet and frankly quite scared. Any advice?

It's nothing to be scared about, if you have a heavy flow and it doesn't absorb in to the pad right away, when you're sitting down or laying down it can flow backwards.

honestly my friend rolls up toilet paper and puts it between her booty cheeks 😜 if you dont like tampons, maybe try a diva cup? xx

My advice is to try tampons. They are really comfortable and a lot more clean.

Try changing pad type (like maybe use an overnight one) or brands, maybe the ones you're using aren't very absorbant.  You could try placing it just a little further back on your panties too.
Tampons are much easier though.
