When did you stop working?
I'm 9w4d with mo/di twins and already thinking about work. I'd like to work as long as possible so I can have more time off after the birth. I have a desk job (Art Director) so working from home isn't an issue (if my employer agrees).
From what I've read, most experts recommend stopping (when pregnant with twins) anywhere between 25-30 weeks. I've read plenty of stories of women who worked longer with no issues but I'd rather not risk it. Also, I work on the second floor and it's a 35 minute commute. Not terribly far, but far enough.
I'm tentatively planning to stop physically going to the office at 30w and continuing to work from home as long as I can. And then take 12 weeks off after birth using a combination of disability and vacation/sick leave.
When did everyone else stop working and for how long? Do you think 12 weeks will be long enough after their born? (It's the max I can take without losing my job... Less than 50 employees so they don't have to follow FMLA!!)
I'm not going to tell HR until I'm about 14 weeks (after my yearly review when I ask for a raise). I don't want the pregnancy to be a factor when they decide whether or not to increase my salary.
