Is there anyone else who's husband is away for deployment?

My husband just left for BMT yesterday and i'm trying to stay occupied , go early to bed , just something to no think of how much i miss him or will for the next weeks, we have been able to talk on the phone since he left, but i don't know how it will be once he finally gets to the base and can't call me . What do you guys do to make it " easier" ?

Get involved with the FRG. They provide a lot of support and will keep you busy!

Stay busy. That's the best thing. My husband has been working overseas with the military for 7 years. He's home for a month every 3 months. This is our third baby so I've been on my own most of the time. Busy busy busy is key!

My husband deployed January 4th (he's in the army) I tried keeping busy. Some days I was able to keep busy but others dragged a bit. My husbands deployed for 10 months and as of right now they're telling him he has to pay for a round trip flight to see our baby which we think is complete bs. Hopefully your able to talk to you s/o. I can talk to mine every now and than which makes it a tad easier. Being around family or good friends also helps so you feel like you're not alone.

My husband was in navy and he was gone for 9 months last yr I keep myself busy by working more. Keep ur head up be over with soon and he'll be home again

My hubs has been gone the entire pregnancy so far and the FRG as well as other spouses have really helped make it go by fast. I am just unsure if there is a FRG for BMT.

I always just lived my life as I always did when my husband was away. It goes by slow at first, but time starts to pick up. I'm always looking for new projects or something to do to make time go by faster when he is gone. My husband was deployed for 9 months a little over a year ago and we did long distance when we dated. Once he gets settled in you guys will eventually have a schedule for when he is able to talk to you. My husband is deploying for 9 months again within this next month and I'll be having the baby without him. It's hard, but remember they aren't forever :)
