Sorry about the TMI! I'm almost 6 weeks and this is the second time I've spotted in 6 days. I have an ultrasound scheduled for Friday, but today I'm wondering if it even is spotting? Or is it brown discharge? It's been freaking me out! What do you think?

Okay, so here's the verdict. I'm basically measuring a week, maybe a week and a half past when they thought I was, which usually just means that I ovulated late. She said the bleeding is probably just implantation and the ultrasound shows even more blood is in there making its way out. She said they want you to not have sex or vacuum or lift anything for a week after you stop bleeding, but if you go a week without bleeding, you're in the clear. So I have an appointment for Feb. 11th for another ultrasound and hopefully then we'll be able to see more. My due date might change, it might not. So yah.

I had this for weeks at the beginning starting around 5/6 weeks, they never quite pinpointed what the cause was but everything ended up being fine and my baby boy was born perfectly healthy and full term two months ago. Prayers for you and a healthy baby!

That looks like brown colored discharge to me, although it's that color because there is some old blood mixed in with the discharge. I had that several times in my first trimester, it was never a problem and my OB was never worried about it. Good luck!

I was spotting for 3 weeks started when I was 7/8w to around 10 I'm now 12w....they didn't know why I was bleeding so I did a swab and it came positive for bv so they put me on medication and told me that was the reason for my bleeding...dr also said its normal to bleed during ur first trimester....now I'm good no spotting/bleeding

That's definitely considered spotting. But it's not always an ominous sign. I spotted like this until 10 weeks with my son. Just speak to your doc about this issue. Everyone is different
