When is the best time to get a 3D/4D ultrasound?

I'm wanting to do an elective 3D/4D ultrasound but was wondering when the best to get it would be. I'm almost 23 weeks. I've heard around 28-30 weeks is the ideal time but wanted some feedback from you guys!

I had one done on Monday I am 31 weeks the technician said between 28 and 32 weeks are the best for pictures after 32 weeks most baby's are in their birth position.. My daughter was measuring a week ahead so it was difficult to get a clear pic of her face because she so low in my pelvis

I got one done yesterday at the growth scan 35 was and its amazing how clear it is so I'd wait until you are further along. They are already kind of distorted anyways so I think doing it too soon will be a waste of your money .

Mine will be at 33 weeks but my doctors office does them and they do the 3d when they do the last growth scan.
