Can someone tell me what a second trimester MC is like?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.  What was your second trimester MC like? So..13 weeks on.. did you deliver at home.. if so please explain what that was like? Did you deliver in the hospital? An input would be appreciated. Thank you.

I was given 3 options
1. Let it happen naturally 
2.D&C
3. Go to labor a delivery

I choose labor and delivery. I was hard but I wanted to see and hold my babies. The nurses were very supportive to help me get through this rough time. I also chose this because incase there was any complications, I would be in the safest place

I was 20 weeks so I had to be induced and give birth at the hospital and then had a D&C for the placenta.

I was 15 weeks when I had my baby. I had it at home naturally. I didn't know for sure if we were losing the baby until it happened. The on call ob said I could go to the er, over the weekend, and they would give me pain meds for it or I could just take some pain meds at home. It took two and half hours to pass my baby from when the contractions started. It's felt like labor, my body was telling me to push and the contractions came every couple minutes until they didn't stop, and then it was all over. I took some pain meds that I later threw up and used a heating pad on my stomach. The hardest part for me was when the doctor told me to flush it since it came out in the toilet. It's not for everyone but I liked the comfort of my own home during such a hard time. Do what you feel is right. Some mc take longer than others though. I held my baby before my SO flushed it. It came out in the sac still. I'm really sorry for your loss.
