Period clots anyone?

I'm 15 and I usually have a normal period, it's usually not that heavy. But it's been 3 months in a row now, when I get my period I have been clotting bigger than usual. I read online and if it's bigger than a quarter then it may indicate some stuff. I went to the doctor when it first happened, they said it was normal that I was loosing so much blood. They said it can happen at least once a year. We ran some blood tests and they said I was fine but I feel there is something wrong. I don't know if clotting this much is normal, someone please help!

I'm 15 too! Ever since I first started my period back in 5th grade, my period has always been really heavy. Always having clots, bleeding through night tampons & all that fun stuff. Along with that, I had been having really bad pain since I was in the 7th grade. We recently just found out last year that I had Endometriosis. It's a disorder where the tissue that's supposed to grow inside my uterus is also growing outside. It's not as scary as it sounds lol, promise! I'm having surgery later this year in March to make a full diagnosis. My gynecologist told me that Endometriosis had caused the heavy bleeding & clots. She put me on birth control to help my hormones throughout this whole process & it's helped a lot with the bleeding. Maybe talk to your parents about seeing a gynecologist to put your mind at ease Hope this helped babe!

This happened to me I used to get really sick and loose a lot of blood so they put me on the pill and I ha no more clots and wasn't sick/ bed ridden. Hope this helps :)

This happened to me. My doctor told me it's nothing to worry about at all! If the period gets heavier the clots can get bigger. It's completely natural and you honestly shouldn't worry!
