Are strictly indoor cats more friendly? 🐱

Question

I've had many cats over the years that had the freedom to live indoors and go outside since we lived in the woods. I noticed that in general, once the cats are old enough for them to go outside, they get less cuddly. Only one of my cats has been an exception to ?
Some of my friends have strictly indoor cats, and they seem more people friendly. Is there something about the outdoors that makes kitties more 'wild?' 🐱🐈🐱🤔

My farm cats are strictly outdoor cats, but they're SO much more loving and and cuddly than my strictly indoor cats. I wish I could bring my outdoor cats in!

Depends completely on the cat. Having indoor only cats.

Bud was super friendly.

Rosee is a total bitch. You are lucky if she lets you pet her. You are blessed if she sits on you.

Kakyo was so so. If you were female you were fine. Males he wasn't crazy about.

My parents own a farm. Many of the cats live in the barn and kill the mice etc... They are incredibly friendly and loving and will snuggle your legs in an instant. But they were also born on the farm and held and loved since birth. Wild cats are totally different

Both of my cats are outdoors. My black and white cat Milo is an asshole. He begs to be petted but once he gets tired of it, he will bite you. Plus he's a major bully to his brother.  My other cat Jax is the sweetest cat on earth.  He thinks he's a dog, loves belly rubs, and playing ball.

Depends on the cat😂 my outdoor cat at the farm is always talking to me, following me around, sitting with me while I eat and spending his day sleeping next to me. He comes inside and loves on me too😂. His brother is skittish though. He'll cuddle up but then run away or hide.

My other cat at my partners house was too spunky, fully indoor cat, he'd have these really mean moods, so they sent him to my place because they didn't want the kids getting hurt, when I brought him back after a couple weeks all he does is cuddle people

No. We have an outdoor cat & in indoor cat. The outdoor one is wayy more snuggly. He's always rubbing on our legs & jumping in our laps. My inside cat is like "fuck you, feed me."

Like people, all animals have their own personality, especially cats..I have indoor cats that love cuddles..my friends indoor cats hate everyone..it's just who they are..!!
I LOVE how everyone here refers to those cats as assholes..I thought it was just me..!!

They're probably more interested in humans because they're bored out of their fuzzy minds. Let's be real most homes don't install things to accommodate pet stimulation besides loose toys and small scratching posts.

My in laws' cat is strictly an inside cat,  and he's a douche. Hisses at everyone,  bites,  attacks, slaps (he's declawed) and is just generally hateful.
