To use epidural or not..

Well, she had the nerve to tell my OB while I was in hospital for other reasons a few days ago that if I need a C Section to call her(family friend).... It's a nice thought, but I didn't really like that. Then she asked if I decided to have an epidural or not. I said no, that I've already discussed with my OB that I want to go all natural no pain meds if all goes as planned. Family friend continues to say she highly recommends that I get an epidural and that its not like I get any type of reward if I choose not to use an epidural. But to me, I feel like if I can go no meds/epidural, that in itself is an accomplishment/reward to me, just to be able to say I did it you know? I absolutely do not judge other women on their birth plans, but this is what I want... What are your thoughts? Was she a little pushy interfering with my OB while at hospital? Getting an epidural is my decision and I'm entitled to that choice right? Just curious..
