What Is good to eat while pregnant?

Today makes 4 weeks, I'm knew to this. So what shud I eat? N drink? I no water cuz I felt like I was goin to pass out last night, n I went to the hospital n they said I was dehydrated. Help me y'all, I'm nervous because this is my first

Eat every few hours and have at least 3 good sized meals. Water is key, it will help with bloating and nourishes you and your baby. I didn't drink enough water with my first pregnancy. I had so much water retention in my legs and feet that it felt I was wearing bozo the clown shoes. If you are vegetarian, beans, nuts and legumes are a good source of protein and fiber. If not a vegetarian, lean cuts of meat such as; steak, chicken, hamburger and turkey are great! Feed your baby nourishing foods. I know groceries are expensive sometimes, but you are supporting 2 lives, yours and your babies.

I  made a lot of pasta with red sauce instead of white. Chicken breast salad is good. Fruit salad, I had a huge craving for cheez its  and hot cheetos. It's ok to eat some junk food but keep it in moderation. You're laying the building blocks of what your child will eat his or her whole life. And a suggestion for you when your baby is eating baby food, offer vegetables before fruits and keep trying with the vegetables. Start your baby on vegetables so that you can instill healthy eating habits. Good luck to you and your baby.

Latasha, you can download a free app called Ovia Pregnancy which has a "Food Safety Lookup" sections that tells you every  ingredient you can eat or should avoid. It also has a medication safety lookup. It helped me ease my mind a little bit. Congrats on your pregnancy!

Tons of water! Buy a large water bottle and take it everywhere! 
Just make sure you're taking your prenatal vitamin and eating a balanced diet! Lots of fruits, veggies, and protein! 😄
It can help to stay on track with healthy snacks of you plan ahead- I like to get fresh fruits and vegetables and pack them into serving size using little baggies for on the go. Also if you like eggs... I hard boil a dozen a week for easy snacking! The little things to keep healthy! That way you can give into a few cravings without feeling guilty! 😉
