Cleaning? ... Is it safe for the baby??

Question

I like to keep a clean house so every Sunday I clean. Is it safe to still be cleaning and breathing in chemicals, like Clorox-bleach and Other cleaning supplies during pregancy? I'm still in my first trimester. What do you think ladies??

i cleaned homes while i was pregnant with my first son. my dr said stay away from stuff like silver and bronze polish and use a mask for anything from an arosol can like oven cleaners and foaming window cleaner. everything else is fine as long as its diluted in proper measurements

I am a clean freak as well. I clean daily. You don't need to use bleach. For counter tops I use dawn soap. Look into more green type cleaners

First trimester is the most sensitive to the baby since its when the major organs are forming. I would stay away from cleaning products until later on in the pregnancy or until you get an Okay from the Doctor
