Babyshower

I'm wondering if I should ask someone to throw me a baby shower. So far my mom is the only person who has brought one up. My best friend lives out of country so she can't throw one and I don't have any sisters. I have a cousin who is like a sister but she is just a few weeks behind me pregnant. I want my mom to be able to enjoy this time and I'm sure she would love to throw me one I just want to see if anyone has any suggestions. Thank you!
