Glucose Test ?

So this is for the moms who already had it done . Did you eat the night before instead of fasting ?.... Because I KNOW I won't be able to fast . I'm hungry ALL THE TIME . Would it just be ok to snack on fruit ?.....

Don't eat after midnight. You should be fine for tonight. :) Just don't go crazy with sugary food tonight.

I was told I could eat until midnight the night before the 3 hour test. For the one hour test they just asked me not to have anything with lots of carbs or sugar until afterward, but fasting was not required.

I ate the night before, but fasted the morning of the test. I was fine. I would stay away from fruit, carbs, anything with sugar. If you have to eat then go with a protein.

No fruit! Nothing that's turns to sugar, no bread etc. Eggs with cheese, proteins, are good! I didn't eat with mine. It was rough and I felt like I was going to pass out but I brought a snack for right after test, and my mom came and drove which was really nice! I felt so weak and crackie after test (3 hr test, first test I failed but it wasn't that bad, 3 hr was rough but I made it ;)

I had mine at 8:30 am and was told not to eat past midnight the night before. I think it depends on what time it's scheduled and your doctors preferences. Good luck!

It depends on which one you're doing. For the one hour test, I was told to eat normally, but nothing high in sugar. Eggs and toast for breakfast is what they suggested for me.

For the three hour test, they gave me specific instructions on what to do the three days prior (not a specific diet, but guidelines to follow) and to fast for 12 hours before my test.

They told me not to eat the morning of. I had a regular dinner the night before and I passed. The orange one taste like a flat orange fanta,  hope this helps: )
