When to announce pregnancy?!?!

When did you announce that you were expecting to:
1. Family
2. Best/closest friends
3. Friends/everyone else

I am having major anxiety and I really want to wait until 12 weeks to officially announce...

What are your experiences?

We had a mc our last pregnancy so we are waiting until after the first us to tell family.  And then around Easter to tell the world!!   I will be around 14/15 weeks at that point.   We hadn't told our families last time and I mc at 9 weeks.  It was extremely hard to tell them we were pregnant and mc at the same time.   After that I would give advise to tell the people you would want as support in case something happened!!

With my first we told our immediate families on Easter at 10 weeks! We told close friends at 11 weeks 4 days and everyone else at 12 weeks! We plan to do the same with this pregnancy! I'm currently 6 weeks 2 days and I'm having such a hard time keeping the secret this time!!!

I have had one MC and I have learnt that you need support when something like that happens. So far I have told the same people who knew last time except parents. The only reason we haven't told them is because when we lost or last baby they took it harder then we did. I think we will tell them this weekend when the pregnancy is past the point where I had a MC.

Not telling immediate family till after first ultrasound.. We are announcing it at oir sons second birthday dinner a few days after ultrasound.. Friends and extended family not till like 10-11 weeks

My husband and I told immediate family and close friends right away. We are waiting till after 1st trimester is complete to tell others.

We told our families first only a few of my friends know, my boss knows due to the doctors appointment only our closest friends know. Everyone else will find out when I'm about 4 months we just want to do a cute sibling announcement with the girls.

I am waiting until after my first Dr visit which isn't until 9 weeks, and then just my best friends. My husband's 40th birthday is around 13 weeks which we agreed is a good time to tell the family and the rest of our friends. Although, keeping my husband from making obvious comments and telling a random person is impossible.  I am also pretty sure that some of my coworkers noticed my sobriety at our holiday party this past weekend.

I'll be nine weeks tomorrow. We haven't told anyone in our family (we aren't close) and have only told maybe five people. Two because they are my support system, others because I rarely see them but I care enough about them to tell them in person. Other than that we plan on waiting until 12-14 weeks to tell anyone else including our two year old. It is all a matter of preference though. Do what is comfortable for you.

rigt now I am 5w 5d and we have told our parents and 3 close family members who we happened to see in person this weekend.  we shared our news since we won't see them again for awhile. Otherwise just a few friends for support. We are going to wait until our first appt before we share further which is in 2 weeks. Not planning on sharing with the social media world for awhile. Prob like 20 weeks.

Family/best Friends: 6.5 weeks (but thought we were 7.5w)

Friends/everyone else: we will tell at 12 weeks because we wanted to have one more ultrasound to confirm baby is good and healthy in there :)

This is our first and I have not had any other pregnancies previously.
