How would you feel if you had your moms first name as your middle name?

I want to name my daughter Paisley Michelle... Michelle is my name...my sister thinks it's stupid and really weird. Thank you for voting and your opinion.

I have my Mom's first name as my middle name. So does my little sister. (The two older ones have our Grandma & Aunt's names as theirs). I absolutely love that my middle name is so special and my little sister and I feel like we have a special bond because we share our Mom's name. Mom said that as a woman, you don't typically leave a namesake for your kids because everyone typically takes Dad's last name. Mom passed away 3 months ago and my middle name is even more special to me than ever before.

I think it's great, I know a lot of people that do that. I like for middle names to mean something rather than be random. Why even have a middle name then? My half sister has her mom's middle name as her middle name and one of my good friend's names is the opposite of her mom's (mom is Mary Katharine and my friend is Katharine Mary). It's a lovely thing to do ☺️

Sons are named after their fathers ALL the time (first or middle name). So in my mind, perfectly normal for a daughter to have her mother's name
