Coming off birth control and need advice

I'm coming off the pill But my husband and I aren't ready to start ttc yet.. This is just to somewhat get my body back to normal for when we are ready to start ttc.. Any advice on coming off the pill but still trying to prevent pregnancy for a while? My husband says condoms are not an option and I'm with him lol!
