Anyone switch from hospital to home birth?

I'm not trying to start a debate on home birth but is there anyone out there that has switched from a hospital to a home birth during your pregnancy? Did they give you a hard time? Did you have to send something in writing? Thanks!

Our plan was a hospital birth, but we're debating on a home birth, now. I'll continue prenatal care with my OB until it's time to deliver and decide then. If we decide on a home birth, I won't be informing my OB. I don't feel the need. It's really none of their business.

It's been in the back of my head lately... My friend had an "accidental" unassisted home birth. And by "accidental" I mean she just didn't go in when she was in labor and had baby in her bedroom, but didn't want to hear it from her doctor haha

No, my birthing center just said they would get my records from my hospital. I just had to fill out some paperwork that I did when I started my pregnancy at the hospital. Easy transition :)

No, because God forbid I or my baby needs immediate medical care. Luckily I have good doctors, but I'm sure the risk wouldn't be worth it even with docs I didn't like a ton. Good luck with your decision.

I'm 27 weeks and so uncomfortable with this hospital and doctors. It's the only one my insurance covers but has been weighing heavily on my mind as the birth is closer. I just don't have a good feeling about it and the birth is something you remember for the rest of your life not to mention everything else so I'm planning on switching as Long as my husband is supportive. This is our 4th baby and I've done 2 other natural births in a hospital

Last baby. This baby will be born in the hospital on the unit I work on
