Still no ultrasound :(

I'm 13 weeks tomorrow and went for my OB appointment today and I finally heard my baby's heartbeat, which was amazing. But still no ultrasound. My Dr said not until I'm 20 weeks. Anyone else's Dr say the same?

It 100% depends on your ins and provider/dr/hospital. For me, I had at ultrasound at 6w+6, next week just shy of 9w, and monthly after that. We are doing the 10w Harmony blood test for gender & checking for any chromosomal issues as well.

My doc only gives 2 ultrasounds one at 20w and 30w

You only get 2 ultrasounds throughout the pregnancy. Your first one was supposed to be at 12 weeks and the second one is at 20 weeks.

If your doctor does it in the private in their office then yes you may be lucky enough to get more than two. If you have to get a referral to go to the hospital and get them then yes there's only two unless you would like to pay out of pocket for more.

That's just the normal. I'm 33 weeks and I haven't had an ultrasound since I was 20 weeks. I want to know how much my baby weighs but I guess I'll have to wait until I deliver to find out.

With my first I only had the anatomy scan at 23 weeks, this time I had a dating ultrasound at 10+4 and the anatomy scan at 20 weeks. If you're not a risk, and everything looks normal at your appointments they don't order extra scans, I guess they aren't necessary.

I will also add I'm going back Monday and I'll be just shy of 9 weeks and I'll have another ultrasound then. I have 3 friends currently pregnant and they have had multiple ultrasounds not just 2

I had several ultrasounds, almost one every time I went and I went in around every 3 weeks until 19 weeks. That was my last ultrasound and I'm 26 weeks now with an appt next week. So No.. That would have made me crazy

I had my first ultrasound a day shy of 7 weeks. But I live in Athens Greece. But I think that's different. My other girlfriends had their first ultrasounds at between 8 and 12 weeks
