Can I use the pill to delay my period?

I started the pill 17 days ago, on my first day of period. That was on a Tuesday, and I usually on Wednesday meet up with my fwb. Could I use 2-3 pills to delay my period for a few days so it wouldn't come on Tuesday?

I was due the week of my honeymoon (no Bueno) and my ob said to just skip the last week of sugar pills and start the next pack and skip that month

If you are on a monophasic combo pill (meaning you have 21 pills of one color, and then 7 of another color or no extras) you just need to skip your break week and you shouldn't get your period. It's not guarenteed, so you might end up bleeding anyway, but it's worth a shot.
