SURGERY WHY NOT?

After seeing the results I am curious why women are not having exploratory surgery for confirmation of endo,  removal and Stage identification?

I had a lap last year after years and years of awful periods....I would pass out from pain and go through a box of tampons in a day etc etc. So i got my lap and they found stage 3 endo. She removed what she could. But I know there is still endo in there deep somewhere on my sciatic nerve and in my hip joints etc. So I'm considering seeing an actual endometriosis specialist who can listen to my symptoms and operate on me. I can say that my periods have been super easy to deal with since my surgery. It took about 3 cycles for my periods to regulate and lighten up after my lap and now I find myself not needing pain killers during my period. I started birth control in preparation for IVF and I can say that my body needs to be on birth control as most of my pain is during and after ovulation with extremely painful hips and leg pain. Every woman's body is different. The lap recovery was a piece of cake for me and they operated on me for 4 hours so I had a ton of endo but the recovery was easy and quick. So do a lap since it is worth the try to see if your pain subsides a little. It did for me. And after surgery your doctor will put you on birth control to  suppress the endo.

I'm not sure if I want to have it. Due to the fact I had major surgery when I was younger. The GYN said I would be a high risk for this op due to the amount of scar tissue. They advised if they were to operate they would have to make an incision under my ribs and try to go in that way. As much as I want the diagnosis I'm worried my scar tissue will cause issues
