Compatibility or deep love in a relationship?

Would you rather be completely compatible with somebody, or would you rather have someone who loves you, and would do anything for you, but someone you are not so compatible with.

I really don't think you can have a relationship if you aren't compatible. Unless by compatible you are referring to sharing all the exact same interests or being the "same kind of person". Compatibility has more to do with a harmonizing effect in my opinion where you just work well together, ones strengths off set the others weaknesses or the couple compromises well and work towards goals as a team. Me and my partner have lots of similarities and also many differences, but we "get" each other and the love continually grows deeper.

I think it's more of a compatibility of both of the people's nature and personality. These two things are both very important. My ex and I were very much in love, but I wasn't as good at comforting her when she was upset. I was used to being there physically and emotionally for someone, whereas she needed space. We definitely communicated about it, but those things were just a part of us and that creates incompatibility. When I failed to be there the way she needed, she fell out of love and, but cares about me deeply. Compatibility and deep love are super important, but if you are not compatible, it's much harder because even though there is love and you want to be together, it doesn't work no matter how hard you try. You can't change who you really are, but you'll find someone who you are compatible with and love deeply ❤
