Breakthrough Bleeding

Hi, has anyone ever gotten pregnant and perhaps implant on 12 DPO and start what looks like a period the next day? I seriously feel crazy. I've had nausea for weeks, heartburn, constipated etc and my husband and I stayed within my fertile week ttc. This isn't a normal "period" either. It's lighter, bright red and it looks like a blood from a cut on your finger. Not the typical period that has a lot of CM. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
