Botox?

Question

I'm assuming it's safe since it does not absorb into the blood stream. Just wondering if anyone has heard anything about getting Botox while pregnant.

I believe it's recommended to avoid botox (and the like) while pregnant since there has not been much research on the matter. I personally wouldn't risk it since there isn't a whole lot of info on the subject (at least to my knowledge).

There hasnt been enough research into botox on pregnancy.. It is a toxin... Since its primarily used for cosmetic reasons that not a necessity I would avoid it... Not worth the potential risk of my babys health..

I've had it before during my pregnancy without knowing I was and my baby was just fine. I also asked my dr about it and he said it is very unlikely to cause any damage because it is injected locally into the muscle and does not cross the placenta or go into the bloodstream and he said the only reason he doesn't inject during pregnancy is because he doesn't have it on paper to say it has been tested to be 100% safe so he feels u ethical to do it. But his last words were very unlikely to cause anything to the baby
