Convertable carseat

My mom got our son graco 4in1 convertable carseat, we wanna upgrade our daughters carseat and were gonna get a matching one just in pink until i saw the price, we dont wanna spend $300 on a carseat that will soon just be a booster seat. What do u ladies recommend for a convertable carseat that are nice safe and padded and comfortable to kids but also reasonable on price. Thank you.
