Should I throw my own baby shower ?

So I was gonna throw my own baby shower but money is kind of tight for us right now and I was thinking that all of the money I'm spending to pay for a baby shower I could just spend on baby items. So would it be better to have a baby shower or use the money and buy my own things

You can do something like a bbq at your house where its more of a get together. Youd only spend some money on food and invites to make sure you put where you register so people could hopefully help you out getting stuff.

Could do a potluck and ask everyone to bring something small..like a bag of chips and a bottle of soda..and just do like a tray of ziti or something..doesn't have to be extravagant..I'm sure people know you need help with baby stuff.

I'm actuall throwing my own baby shower since my baby's father is being so irrational and no longer wants to be part of me or the baby out of the blue but anyhow money is tight on me as well but I'm gonna buy me a nice dress a nice cake some decorations a couple of friends will come over its mostly to have a memory of that day and pictures I regret not having a baby shower with my previous pregnancy

I'm throwing my own baby shower. Money is tight for us too which is why I'm DIY'ing everything. I think it's beneficial because a lot of our family members want to come and celebrate and you'll always get gifts and gift cards which will also help in long run.

I would used it on the baby then you'll know what your baby is going to need and what to get for your baby that's what I did on this pregnancy I was going to spend so much just for a baby shower and just for few people to come and not bring anything not worthed so I used the money on my baby.
