Condom question

I am in a monogamous relationship with my fiancé and we use condoms as birth control. We often only put it on at the end for the "finale" and sometimes don't even bother and use pull out instead. I haven't been pregnant but I'm wondering if anyone else uses these methods or has used them and if it was effective for them? We've been doing it for a long time so I don't know if we are just lucky or infertile or it is effective?
