Having a hard time dealing with the weight gain
Hi moms. I'm seeking some comfort and understanding. I'm 22 weeks and according to my doctor I've gained 30 pounds, and they want to monitor my weight gain.
First of all that doesn't seem right. I'm a vegetarian, not a sweets person, and generally a consciously healthy eater. I try to walk 3-4 times a week and am taking a prenatal Yoga class. I've known since I found out I was pregnant that I didn't want to gain any unnecessary weight and have been making an effort not to over do it on the eating, granted I'm not perfect and splurge once in awhile.
Second of all, I have a history of eating disorders. It's been years since my last relapse but mentally, body image always bothers me to an obsessive state. I'm trying my hardest to enjoy my pregnancy but I'm finding it hard not to get caught up in the weight gain numbers. Plus, 30 pounds seems like way too much for my eating life style.
