What would you do?

Hi everyone. Sorry to bother but I really don't have a lot of people to talk to and I just thought writing it down would help. 
Yesterday I looked in my phone and my husband had a private Internet page on I saw he was writing to his ex girlfriend. He was telling her he missed her and when could they go out and that she could visit him when he was home alone. I confronted him and said that was the worst mistake of his life and that he was sorry. 
My whole family is telling me to leave him because he will do it again and I just found out that his mom still talks to her and buys her stuff since the ex sells Mary kay.

What should I do? What would you do in my position?

I think that's awful his mum still talks to her and buys that off her 😕 I think you should leave him, even if he didn't do it again each time his phone goes off you'll be wondering if it's her etc. You deserve way better than him and may be missing out on someone amazing

I personally think there's more attachment than necessary... His moms continued relationship is toxic. I couldn't stay married knowing my husband even considered attempting to rekindle things with his ex... But I haven't been in the situation with him. Possible spend a week or 2 apart- no contact unless it's an emergency. See how you feel after that.

Truthfully you can't do anything about the mom, but you should be open and tell your husband that if he wants his ex, he should go. He can't and won't have both of you. You don't deserve to be cheated on, or have that fear if he is not being faithful.

Oh I'm sorry this has happened. I'd be devastated. I can't tell you what to do, but me personally, I can't see a way back from this.
I got crushed last year right before I moved in with my partner, and working out when to start our family, when I found out he'd been very regularly searching some of his exes (from years ago) and visiting their Facebook pages a lot. I spoke to my sister -who I knew wouldn't gossip, a counsellor, and just cried all week while processing my feelings & fears. I read him a three page letter in tears. He understood the gravity of it  & apologised sincerely. He then deleted them as Facebook friends and I know hasn't looked them up since (I allowed myself check his phone, computer & FB history once 2 months later). So I trust him now.
If he'd been defensive or didn't stop, I'm sure I'd have ended our relationship.
If you decide to stay, he needs to cut all ties, including his mother with her. A lot of other Mary Kay consultants are out there, she can find a new one!

I would let him get back with the ex and never talk to him again. He's an ass and will do it over and over again if you let him get away with it. Not worth your time. Find someone who will be loyal to only you and make you happy.
