I'm moving

So I'm 20 and live with my mum and her partner. I currently can't afford to live anywhere in the local area in my own, and boyfriend (29) is in no place to financially help. My mum and her partner are moving to the coast, about 3 hours away. I decided, because my contract with work is up soon, to move with them. They are moving to a more affordable area, where I can get a nice one bed flat for £350 a month, rather than the £650 it would cost me here. However, my boyfriend of 5 months doesn't want to come with me, as he doesn't think he will be able to get a job there (he doesn't even have a job here). I was wondering, if anyone has any tips for becoming long distance. We're so used to seeing each other all the time. Any advice?
