Missed miscarriage

Hello ladies. I have a healthy 3 year old son. Found out in January I was expecting again. So exciting. Went to several appointments and saw a strong heartbeat twice. Yesterday I began light spotting so I went to my doctor. I was shocked to see that my baby's heart had stopped. I think I'm still in shock. Have my d & c this morning. I guess my question is for those of you who have been through this, how did you come to the decision to try again? I know it is fresh for me and time will help heal wounds, but I can not imagine going through this again.
