My 10 month old son was playing with our cat an our dog. I was grabbing his clothes so I wasn't looking at him an I'm not sure what he did but I heard my cat in pain an hissing. I turned around so fast because I didn't know what was going on. She ran from the room an my dog chased her after her barking. My son was sitting there pretty calm an then all of a sudden started crying. I picked him up an realized my cat scratched him across the face an he was bleeding. It wasn't that ba an it stopped bleeding after I cleaned it up. I feel so bad an my cat has never done this before. He does get rough with them but they've never attacked him. I'm afraid when my husband gets home he's going to tell me to get rid of our cat. I don't think my son is in danger by my cat. I honestly think I just need to work with him to be nicer to the animals. I've had my cat for 8 years so she is apart of the family. Other people with pets should understand they are family an things happen but as long as you address it an work on things you can keep them. Or am I wrong? If my husband says we should get rid of her do I just let him?? This is really hard an my son isn't in pain an my cat has even laid with him after all this licking him an being sweet. :/
