Calculating a pregnancy with a period the first month ?

I don't know if I am pregnant but I was wondering if I was, how would you calculate a pregnancy with having a "period" the first month? Because I know you are supposed to calculate by your last period but if you have one while already pregnant, would you still count it from your other period before or when you ovulated ?
