Birth controls?

So i just had my 3rd child, im not interested in having any more children but not gonna get my tubes tied. My husband is going to get a vasectomy but i would still like to take something just to make extra sure nothing happens. What are some suggestions? Pros and cons of different types.

Mirena. Got it after my first and it's good for up to 5 years. I had mine removed at 3 years so we could try for another. Loved not having to think about taking a pill everyday!

I love the nuvaring because I'm terrible at remembering to take a pill. The only downside is it can be irritating during sex...

Does the mirena make you gain a bunch of weight?

I hate taking pills every day so I can't recommend that. I have had 3 IUDs and LOVED it ever time. Never had periods while it was in which to me is amazing. I plan on getting another one in a few months after I have my baby boy

I had mirena iud for 2 years before TTC. They last five years. It worked well for me and had lighter periods.  But I've also herd a lot of bad things about them too... Do your research for sure.

I had the Depo shot and it worked perfectly with no side effects for me

I've been in pills before which were okay, just forgot to take them sometimes! Lol... Do not get Depo shot, it messed up my cycles
