Anyone reluctant to share their pregnancy?

Due to some high risk issues that were discovered at 13 weeks, I've been reluctant to tell anyone about my pregnancy, other than the fam/close friends who knew before. I'm now 19 weeks and starting to show. Not sure how long I can hide it from coworkers and casual friends. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks!

We had already announced when we were informed that we'd had an abnormal ultrasound 2 weeks prior. We never did get an amnio but I couldn't walk around and pretend everything was fine. So we made a post on Facebook about it and that way I didn't have to tell everyone personally. I found that talking to people about it was more helpful than pretending everything was ok or suffering in silence. We still await our little guy's arrival date to know whether he's okay or not. But we have SO much support behind us and people praying, just because we chose to be open about it. It's a hard thing to deal with but I hope you find a system that works for you.

I had a gender reveal party at 21 weeks. Became high risk at 25 weeks. Can't hide it much now. The only thing is I have kept my pregnancy off of social media from the start. 
My family, closest friends, and church family know about me bein high risk.
I was never alone when I went to the hospital. I had phones calls of encouragement and many prayers for baby and me. So, my select informed group have been wonderful.
I never expected to become high risk.

I never told anyone accept family and friends and the people whom I work directly with at my job.  Let the others wonder. You have other things to focus on, not worry but focus.💛

I never actually told anyone other than work because I don't care about them and what they think or know. I was very sick all the time so I figured it was best to tell them anyway... As far as everyone else I never said anything if they asked I said yes but I never went out of my way to tell anyone.

Yup me too. I'm almost 10 weeks but only close family knows. Our last pregnancy ended at 14 weeks after I announced at 12 weeks (what I thought was the safe zone). This time I almost don't want to talk about the pregnancy. Maybe I'll
Feel better once I get past 14 weeks. The hardest part was untelling everyone that I wasn't pregnant anymore. I think they felt worse than I did.

We have a healthy happy daughter, although my pregnancy with her was very bad and she was sick the first three months of her life. 
Our second baby died just over 12w after some monitoring, the day before we were going to announce it. We still announced her life anyways while letting those we love know she had passed away at the same time. I think it's ridiculous how taboo the subject has become. I love our angel baby the same I do with our first. They're you're baby and you have a right to love and talk about them instead of suffering in silence like they meant nothing.
We are now 27w with our rainbow baby and have had a lot of scares and I am also high risk for many reasons this pregnancy but we shared at 11w when we got the gender and continue to keep our family and friends in the loop. I do keep a lot of the high risk stuff to myself but mostly because I don't like people to worry over me. I am blessed every day that I am able to carry this baby. I hope and pray she gets to stay with us but if she goes to be in heaven I will never regret sharing her life with others.

My pregnancy was going well up till the 20 week scan. So I had told everyone before.

People who didn't know I was pregnant and asked. I said to them I am pregnant but unfortunately this is a high risk pregnancy. I found this stopped them from asking questions. I feel also that if the worst was to happen they wouldn't bring anything up.

We have had a miscarriage before and announced it too soon. Only to family and friends but that was more than enough. With this pregnancy we waited till the 1st trimester was over. My husbands dad kept making comments about why we weren't posting already. I was still hesitant at that point. So we announced it when I was about r months. We were expecting twins. A coiple weeks later we lost one twin and it was very possible to lose both but miraculously we only lost one and Im 27 weeks with the other one but still hight risk and in the hospital for the remainder of my pregnancy. So we haven't posted at all about the pregnancy since we lost one. Eventually we will announce in some way, later, after the baby is born, and makes it home, what happened. We will decide later how we'll say it and what we'll say. The thing is, is for us, its exciting to announce good  news on fb. Its something we see alot of people do and we were excited to get to make sn exciting announcement. However al our real and close fam and friends already know. Most of everyone else are aquaintences or less. So I feel indifferent about explaining the loss. But yes I was reluctant to announcing.
