The only ones

So for the entire year of my step daughters being in kindergarten my SO and i have been the only ones doing any of the major projects with my step daughter. She was given a notice 2 weeks ago to make a little box for valentine's day and for cards. I asked step daughter last week if she wanted us to do it or to do it with her mom and step dad she said her mom so i told her to let her mom know. We reminded her mom as well. Yesterday daughter comes over with a tissue box needing to be decorated for today. We decorate it and then asked if all of her valentine cards were ready for tomorrow. She told us that her grandma got her cards but she never filled them out and doesnt know where they are. My SIL was a live saver and took daughter to get cards. So daughter fills them out and seals them. The day before and her mom had 2 weeks to do this. I guess im more upset that her mom didnt put effort in to do something fun that her daughter wanted to do with her. But im glad i got to be there and do it and spend time with daughter. Worse part was when my SO gave her mom all the stuff she got mad him saying he never gives her the chance to do projects with daughter and had a fit about it and berating my SO. You had 2 weeks and mulitple reminders we didnt take it away from you, you just didnt do it and she needed it done for today so we did.
