Would it make you mad?

My sons dad, his girlfriend, and I get along great. I don't mind posting pictures of my son, his dad, and his girlfriend when I think it's a cute pic and my son looks handsome! Because I love that my son has two happy homes. He's so loved. But my current fiancé got upset and says that I'm wrong for posting a picture (one picture) of the three of them. In my head, it wasn't wrong. I was acknowledging how happy my son is and how happy I am that he has two homes. Would it make you mad? It wouldn't if it were reverse so that's why I don't understand. I feel very fortunate to have the relationship with my sons dad and his girlfriend that I do. Let me know what you think.

So, is he expecting to never be in a picture with you and your son? I don't get it. It's awesome that your son is so loved. I'm a stepmom and I get along great with my kiddo's mom. I'm pregnant with my first and after the baby is born, I want my stepson to have a pic with our entire family, which includes his mom.

Blended families take a lot of maturity and understanding, but when it works, it's awesome. I would talk to him about what exactly bothers him about the situation.

I come from a divorced family. Both sides always got along GREAT! It wasn't until I was about 15 years old all the stupid drama started. Currently 21 and the immaturity between sides is still there. I'd give anything to have everyone get along again... Big 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 to you! You have No idea how positive that is and your son is going to appreciate you greatly for this! Don't let anyone get in between and cause the relationship to be any differently.

It's so so SO important to have a healthy relationship between your kids parents. My mom and dad stayed friends after the divorce and I couldn't be more lucky.

The relationship you have with your son's father is very important. And its exceptional that you get along with his girlfriend so well. I am actually concerned by your fiancé's reaction. He needs to be onboard with your coparenting and be a positive and integral part of it. Find out why he's being negative.

Of course it wouldn't. It seems so few kids have two happy families, some have neither entirely. Good for your child! I'm happy you realize and support such things.

It's fine. If we had social media when I was growing up my mom would certainly have posted pics of me n dad n stepmom. My mom even wrote my stepmom a nice letter for my graduation thanking her for being there when she couldn't be (mom was in and out of rehab).
