Help remedies ????

My 6 week old seems to have an eye infection or something this morning she woke up with gunk on her eye like mucus and has been draining all day does anyone know what I can use or should I just wait till her dr appointment on Tuesday ??? Looks like this

Looks like the blocked tear duct my LO had. It's just her right eye and started at a few days old. She's now 3 months and her eye still drains, but it's not as thick. We do warm compresses with a cotton ball or eye makeup remover pad and massage the duct. It's worse when when she wakes up or cries. Her PCP told us this is common, we didn't need drops, and could last up to 1 year. If it lasted that long we would then see an eye doctor.

Jus use a soft warm cloth and keep clean daily and multiple times a day until you see your doc

Clean with a warm washcloth regularly and put some breastmilk in there! It'll clean up acne too. Looks like a blocked tear duct

It could be a blocked or underdeveloped tear duct. My son has that and he's five weeks old. It's very common in newborns. We have to wipe away the goo with a warm wet cloth, massage the duct (watch a YouTube video on how) and give him drops two times a day.

Looks like simple conjunctivitis more commonly known as pink eye. Just try to keep her from rubbing her eyes and use washcloths with warm water to clean the crust off. It's very contagious so wash your hands afterwards. Her pediatrician might give her antibiotic drops but I've also heard of moms using breast milk but I don't know that there is any scientific research to back that up as a remedy but it wouldn't hurt.
