Wasn't treated at all on Valentine's Day, he said everyday he shows how much he cares why does he need to buy and treat me on Valentine's Day, anyone else went through this?

Honestly I don't know why all these women on here complain about not doing something for Valentine's Day. It's just another day. And I'm curious how many women did something special for their SO's. Cards, flowers, dinner, anything?

Didn't get anything either and we spent the day apart - we've been together for 6 years, married for 4 and he genuinely tells me he loves me every day!! Don't really believe in Valentine's Day - but he better have a good plan for my birthday in 2 weeks 😉

I didn't do anything either but my SO had to work. He does enough for me every other day so he don't need to waste money on just one day. Valentine's Day doesn't really mean anything but it is nice to get surprised! I didn't want anything :)

My husband and I have been married for 4 years, in a relationship for 6, and this was our first Valentine's Day where he wasn't deployed.. We spent the day walking around the beach with our son. 
It's not about the gifts and being doted upon. Seriously? How materialistic are you guys?! It's about spending time with the person you love. Hallmark and other companies have made it about the candy, cards, chocolate and gifts. Saint Valentine married people that loved each other so much they risked death to get married at a time it wasn't legal for them to get married. 
Spend time with your significant other, cook a meal together, walk the beach together, walk the park, accept wildflowers picked from your backyard or bought cheaply at the Farmer's Market. Accept a hug with a passionate kiss attached, or simply an, "I love you." Because really, that's what this holiday is about. LOVE. Not the flowers, candy, and necklace the felt obligated to buy, and ran out last minute for.

You ladies shouldn't try to make other people feel bad because they celebrate Valentine's Day. Yes your so is suppose to show you everyday but why would they skip Valentine's Day? That's quite strange. I got tickets to see Chris Brown in concert, two bears, chocolates, and a card. I bought him two hats a bear, chocolate, a card, dinner, and his favorite liquor just to show him that he was really appreciated. You can't make me feel bad because my so cared enough to treat me to a nice Valentine's day. I don't ever wanna get that comfortable where I'm content with receiving nothing. Some of you ladies need to reevaluate your relationship.

Listen, even if everyone else in the world doesn't care about Valentine's Day you can STILL be irritated if you weren't doted on. It's not "just another day" it's Valentine's Day lol a national holiday that is advertised to us a month in advance. It's not a super big deal to me but that doesn't mean it's not a big deal period. If you are bothered by it tell him. Not in an accusatory way. Simplyet him know that that extra effort in anything goes a long way. You've decided to spend your time with one persons forever. You guys should always make the effort for each other, whatever days you deem fit. Good luck!

I think he's right. If he shows you everyday that he loves you, why does he need some manufactured day to show you that? Personally, I'd much rather my husband buy me flowers on some random Tuesday than buy them for me on Valentine's Day because society says he has to. I was never a fan of Valentine's Day before, I'm not any more of a fan now that I'm married. People put so much pressure on this one day, I just don't get it. Show love everyday, not just to your SO, but to all of the people you love.

My husband and I exchanged gifts but that was the extent of it. No cards, no flowers, no candy, no special dinner lol. It's really just another day to us but we do gifts because let's face it, gifts are fun

My boyfriend didn't get me anything because he's going through some serious financial issues right now but then again v-day is just an excuse for people to show your lover that you love them one time of the year I don't need a holiday for that lol

This was the first year I didn't get a "big" gift but he got me chocolate turtles(which is my favorite candy) and we spent time with my family which is really all I wanted since we're always with his family. But we discussed beforehand that we weren't gonna do much because I was due 4 days ago and we really just want our baby here above anything 😭
